Container throughput increased in March but remained lower than last year

More containers made their way through ports around the world in March than in February, shows Drewry's index. However, there are significant regional differences, and the overall figure is lower than for the same period last year.

The number of containers making their way through ports globally increased in March, reveals Drewry's index over global container throughput. The index covers 220 ports globally, accounting for 75 percent of freight volumes.
