Cosco buying into Hamburg terminal meets political resistance

Germany’s economic affairs ministry is not as eager as the Port of Hamburg to let China’s Cosco buy into a container terminal at the crucial harbor. A share sale to Cosco has met resistance in Berlin, media reports.

Chinese shipping group Cosco’s plan to co-own a container terminal at the Port of Hamburg has met political resistance within the German government and central administration, reports media Handelsblatt.
