Strikes could prolong port congestion until year's end

Although freight rates are plummeting and supply chain bottlenecks are easing, there are still delays in major ports around the globe, in particular due to strikes. Disruptions could continue throughout Q4, according to one consultancy.

Strikes in large ports in Germany and the UK have caused serious delays for container traffic, and new and ongoing strikes could create disruptions for the rest of the year, warns maritime and supply chain consultancy firm Drewry.
