Politician calls for swift cleanup of old ammunition in the Elbe

The discovery of old ammunition has stalled the excavation of the river Elbe, the access route to the port of Hamburg.

A discovery of old explosives near the town of Cuxhaven, located at the mouth of the river Elbe in the North Sea, has temporarily put a stop to the dredging of the river, which is the access route to the major port of Hamburg.
