Red Sea crisis hurts terminal operator HHLA's bottom line

2024 has proved to be challenging for Hamburg’s terminal operator HHLA, which is experiencing the effects of uncertain supply chains directly in the economy.

As one of the last links in the supply chain, port operator Hamburger Hafen und Logistik in the Port of Hamburg is also challenged by the fact that fewer and fewer ships sail through the Suez Canal on the Red Sea, causing delays in European ports.
