The Arabian terminal operator Gulftainer has in the course of recent years been described as one of several newer and more aggressive terminal operators, which in the near future will appear among the biggest in the business. Almost five months ago, Danish Flemming Dalgaard made the transition from an Arabian port and terminal operator, DP World, to another one based in the United Arab Emirates.

There, he currently holds the position of CEO of GT International, which is the international division of Gulftainer. A smaller operator compared to DP World, but that is precisely what he found attractive about the job, he tells ShippingWatch. He does not view Gulftainer as more aggressive than others, but he describes the company as "realistically aggressive". And there is no doubt about the fact that growth is part of the plan which he is currently working on for GT International.
