Monjasa's defense criticizes evidence: It's deception

Inadequate investigation from the prosecution has made it necessary for Jan Jacobsen to find new evidence in the fraud case against himself and his company Monjasa, according to the defense, which is arguing for an acquittal.

Since this article was published, Denmark's Western High Court has cleared Monjasa and Jan Jacobsen of all charges.

Lacking interrogations, uncertain evidence and an unreliable key witness were all points of criticism on Wednesday when the defense took aim at the evidence presented by the Danish Attorney General's Office for fraud and financial crimes in the appeal case against Monjasa.
