Industry searching in vain for the source of bad bunker

A new industry survey covering almost 100 cases of contaminated bunker in shipping raises more questions than it answers.

There is not just one source or one cause behind the 100 cases of contaminated bunker the shipping sector has experienced this year, concludes a new study conducted by CIMAC, International Council on Combustion Engines, an association that includes engine manufacturers, shipping companies and fuel test laboratories.
