As a part of the stated strategy, DFDS has once again spent money on logistics. The Danish shipping company has bought UK-based Quayside Group, which should help expand its logistics network. It also leads to a positive adjustment of the group’s revenue estimates for 2014.
The price has not been disclosed, but Quayside Group generated revenue of around USD 39 million in the fiscal year 2012/2013 and currently has 260 employee. The company specializes in logistics for the food industry.
