Economic recovery in the Nordic countries and with that, growing volumes in the forwarding business, General Cargo, is causing Blue Water Shipping CEO, Kim Hedegaard Sørensen, to increase expectations for the result in 2015. This is after a year, where the Danish transport company increased its result by 80 percent to USD 9.4 million, while the revenue grew by 11 percent to USD 743.5 million.
"We can see a recovery in the economies of Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. There are nice increases in volumes and with a large organization like ours, this will bring some improvements in productivity and capacity, which will be very visible on the bottom line," says CEO Kim Hedegaard Sørensen to ShippingWatch.
