Liner companies see scrubbers as best alternative to low-sulfur fuel
The container shipping lines have installed or ordered more than 840 scrubbers. According to Alphaliner, this shows that the exhaust cleaning systems are the preferred alternative to new fuels.
Scrubbers look set to be the liner companies' primary alternative to the new low-sulfur fuels once the new sulfur regulations come into force next year.
