Wedellsborg launches new tanker venture with former Stena executive at the helm

Johan Wedell-Wedellsborg has made a return to the tanker business with new operator Weco Tankers. The company is led by former Stena executive Johnny Schmølker and aims to amass a fleet of 35 vessels.

Danish Baron Johan Wedell-Wedellsborg is back in the tanker business with a new operator venture launched in the corona year of 2020.

Weco Tankers is the name of the new venture, which was establish on May 1 last year, and will see Johnny Schmølker, former chief executive officer of Stena Denmark, at the helm.
