CMA CGM's operating profit soars by more than 300 percent in the third quarter

CMA CGM's revenue and operating earnings increased significantly in the third quarter. The French container shipping company continues to invest in ships, ports and air freight. The company has ordered four new Airbus cargo planes.

Like a number of competitors in a scorching container market, CMA CGM is also delivering significant growth in revenue and operating results, according to the company's press release for the third quarter of this year.

CMA CGM's total revenue, which includes logistics, port terminals, air freight and container shipping, grew 89.4 percent to USD 15.3 billion in the third quarter compared to the same period last year.
