Stena Bulk takes final scrubber investment decision

Stena Bulk has now definitively decided in favor of equipping 16 ships with open-loop scrubbers. The investment will cost the Swedish tanker company over USD 50 million.

Stena Bulk has decided to invest around USD 55 million for installing scrubbers on 16 ships, the company informs in a press statement.

10 IMOIIMAX ships, five Suezmax ships and one standard MR ship will be equipped with open-loop scrubbers. The company plans to install tthe exhaust filtering system for its entire fleet before IMO 2020 enters force early next year.

3i buys AMP out of Esvagt

Private equity firm 3i, which owns half of carrier Esvagt, has agreed with the company's second owner, AMP Capital, to take over all of Esvagt for GBP 268 million, making 3i the sole owner. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.
