Bulkers risk quarantine at ports: "Everyone's in a kind of limbo"

A number of ports have implemented 14-day quarantines for ships coming from corona-stricken countries. The risk of more ship days makes it difficult to close new deals, XO Shipping and Delta Corp tell ShippingWatch.

Several ports have imposed quarantines on ships coming from China, Italy and many other countries impacted by the coronavirus.

The ships must in some cases wait 14 days outside ports before being allowed to offload their cargoes. At the same time, there are restrictions on crews going ashore.
