J. Lauritzen appoints Kristian Mørch as new CEO

Lauritzen Fonden’s investment company, J. Lauritzen, appoints Odfjell’s former top executive Kristian Mørch as new CEO. According to the foundation’s CEO, Tommy Thomsen, the stage is set for growth.

It is less than two months ago that Kristian Mørch announced his departure from the position as chief executive of Odfjell, but Mørch is now back at the forefront of Danish shipping.

Mørch will be new CEO of all maritime investments under Lauritzen Fonden – apart from DFDS – which the foundation has gathered in the company J. Lauritzen. This first and foremost concerns the full ownership of dry bulk operator Lauritzen Bulkers, which after many years of deficits landed a profit of USD 100m in 2021.
