Bulk crisis cuts Ultrabulk's bottom line in half

Dry bulk carrier Ultrabulk was hit so hard by the crisis in 2014 that the company's bottom line was cut in half compared to 2013. "Acceptable under the prevailing adverse and volatile conditions," says the management about the result.

Ultrabulk, like many other colleagues in the dry bulk segment, was unable to make it unharmed through the crisis in the dry bulk market that characterized the second half of 2014 and which continues to put the dry bulk carriers under pressure, according to Ultrabulk's annual report 2014.
