Jinhui achieves small profit in rough dry bulk market

Oslo-listed dry bulk carrier Jinhui Shipping and Transportation Limited made a small profit in a dry bulk market which has otherwise been rough on the carrier and will continue to be so, writes management.

Jinhui Shipping and Transportation Limited exited the first quarter this year with a 39 percent decline in revenue, down to USD 22 million. The company writes that the decline was especially impacted by the low spot rates for the company's 36 vessels. On the other hand, earnings increased to a profit of USD 4.6 million from a deficit of USD 3.1 million in the same period in 2014.
