Star Bulk Carriers sheds newbuildings in new fire sale

Equity group Oaktree Capital's major bulk venture, Greek Star Bulk, has divested another four Capesize newbuildings, informs the carrier in a notice to the stock exchange. 

Greece's Star Bulk Carriers, which has equity fund Oaktree Capital as its primary stakeholder, is selling four Capesize newbuildings for a gross price of USD 148 million, informs the carrier in a statement to the New York Stock Exchange.

The four large dry bulk vessels are under construction in China and will be delivered to the buyer during the first and second quarter 2016.
