The export of coal out of the US has sharply declined and this will probably be the case for the foreseeable future, writes analyst agency Alphabulk.
Trade in all types of coal by sea to and from the US, measured in volumes, has declined by 35 percent since 2012 when 114 million tons of coal were sailed to final destinations. In 2015, 74 million tons of coal were sailed in and out of the US, Alphabulk writes.
