Pacific Basin significantly boosts earnings in Q3

Recent months of growth in spot rates will only have a marginal impact on the total 2017 result, states the bulk carrier.

Pacific Basin's earnings saw intense growth in this year's third quarter, relative to the same period last year, reports the Hong Kong-based dry bulk carrier in a trade update.

The average earnings (TCE) for the carrier's fleet of Handysize and Supramax vessels came to USD 8,130 and USD 9,350, respectively, in the third quarter. This corresponds to respective improvement of 15 percent and 27 percent for the two vessel types.
