Yet another Maersk ship reports fire in container

Another Maersk vessel was hit by a fire in a container Thursday night. The fire is under control and all crew members are safe. At this point there are no signs that the latest fire is in any way related to the fatal Maersk Honam fire.

Another Maersk vessel reports a fire. The fire is under control and no crew members have been hurt, informs Maersk Line in a press release Friday.

The fire broke out in a container on board vessel Maersk Kensington. The ship was en route from Salalah in Oman to the Suez Canal when the fire erupted in a container in a cargo hold at 8:50 pm Thursday.
