Maersk introduces extra bunker bill for its customers

The rising price of oil will now impact Maersk Line's customers. The carrier has introduced an emergency bunker surcharge in order to cover its costs for fuel. Analyst firm Clarksons praises the initiative.

Yesterday, Maersk announced to its container customers that they should expect to pay USD 20 extra per teu on selected routes from June 1 and July 1.
