Clarksons: Lower bunker prices will save Maersk millions in 2019

Bunker prices have gone down significantly in recent times. Predictions for 2019 show lower unit costs, which may save Maersk millions of US dollars, predicts Clarksons Platou in a new analysis.

Recently, bunker prices have gone down significantly in step with the drop in oil prices, which currently sits at approximately USD 60 a barrel. And things are boding well for container carriers such as Maersk, for which high fuel prices made an impact on this year's financial results.
