Søren Toft becomes MSC's new chief executive officer

A number of well-placed sources confirm to ShippingWatch that Maersk's former COO Søren Toft's next job will be as MSC's new CEO. The change will be officially announced next week.

Søren Toft will take over the position as chief executive officer at Maersk's competitor and alliance partner MSC, a number of sources with knowledge on the matter confirm to ShippingWatch.

The Italian shipping company thus gets a CEO who brings in-depth knowledge about Maersk's operations and networks.
