Søren Skou will not comment on competitor CMA CGM receiving state aid

Maersk CEO Søren Skou was very outspoken in his criticism of the state aid awarded to the container liner's former collaborator HMM, but Skou declines to comment on CMA CGM's state aid. Danish Shipping, however, sent ShippingWatch a comment on the matter of its own accord.

"It is totally unacceptable. The two shipping lines have not made money for ten years," was the unequivocal statement from Maersk's CEO Søren Skou when the company's two Asian competitors Yang Ming and HMM were awarded state aid a little over a month ago.
