MSC fired warning shot to ward off presumed pirate attack

Shipping line MSC was able to deter what could have presumably developed into a pirate attack. A boat was approaching an MSC container ship, but a warning shot made it turn away. The crew is safe.

Pirates are presumed to yet again be at play in the Gulf of Guinea, and this time it almost hit major container line MSC.

A small boat was allegedly headed toward MSC's container ship MSC Elsa 3, but a warning shot fired from the MSC ship made the boat change its course.
