Evergreen orders upwards of 20 new ships
Taiwan-based Evergreen is building up its capacity big-time with an alleged order for upwards of 20 new ships, set to be built at four different yards. The shipping line "places orders or charters ships as appropriately when required by the market," it says.
Container line Evergreen has been on a veritable shopping spree, ordering a total of 20 newbuilds, report several media citing brokers.
