MPC Container Ships acquires Arne Blystad's Songa Container

MPC Container Ships is acquiring Arne Blystad's carrier Songa Container in a deal worth USD 210 million. With the acquisition, MPC's fleet grows to 75 container vessels.

Shipowner MPC Container Ships has followed up on plans to expand its business by carrying out a major acquisition of Songa Container, owned by Norwegian investor Arne Blystad.

MPC Container Ships has struck a deal to acquire Songa Container at a price of USD 210.25 million, the company reports in a press release.
