Rates for US-bound freight approaching 10,000-dollar mark

With a 229-percent increase from last year, freight rates for goods bound for the US are approaching USD 10,000, shows data from Drewry.

The demand from US consumers is sky-high, which has propelled the rates for container freight bound for the US to almost USD 10,000, according to data from analyst firm Drewry.
