Container rates increase for the 13th consecutive week

The cost of shipping a container from China to multiple locations in the world has gone up for the 13th consecutive week in a market continuously marked by shortage of capacity and high demand.

The spot rates for container freight continue to go up for the 13th consecutive week, according to the rate index Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI), which measures spot prices for container freight from Shanghai to several destinations worldwide.
