Roughly two out of three container ships were delayed in September

Major bottlenecks in the container market are a continuous source of significant delays. Approximately two out of three container ships around the globe were severely delayed in September, according to analyst.

Container lines' customers must widely brace themselves for the fact that delayed container ships will remain the rule rather than the exception.

Major bottlenecks and strained supply chains have pushed down container carriers' schedule reliability over the course of 2021 where far more than half of the ships arrive late at ports.
