CMA CGM orders ten newbuilds

French container line CMA CGM has put in an order for ten ice-class newbuilds at South Korea's Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, according to several media. The vessels of 2,000 teu are expected to be delivered in 2024.

CMA orders ten ice-class container newbuilds, which are expected to be delivered from September 2024.

According to media reports, the vessels will be built at South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. In a filing to the Korea Exchange, the company reports having landed an order for ten dual-fuel LNG-powered container vessels of 2,000 teu each for a total value of USD 627 million from a "European customer".
