Price on container freight still dropping

The rates on container transport from China to the rest of the world decline for the fifth week in a row.

Spot prices on container freight from Shanghai to the rest of the world declined for the fifth week in a row, according to data released by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange on Friday.

The Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI), which measures spot prices on container freight from the major Chinese city to a range of destinations across the world, receded by 1.7% to 4,074.7 this week, which ended on Friday.
