Lockdowns and Ukraine war have lopped 5% off of ONE's volumes

Just two factors, Chinese lockdowns and the cancellation of Russian bookinigs, meant a 5% reduction in handled containers in the recent quarter for container carrier ONE. Chief Executive Jeremy Nixon outlines the many uncertainties faced by the industry.

As results are skyrocketing in the global container industry, uncertainties are piling up. Even though rates are so high that a seeping market does not make real changes to the bottom line for the combined industry, there are a large number of danger signals, which, before long, may change the picture for an industry that has had favorable winds in the couple of years following the coronavirus pandemic.
