Hapag-Lloyd CEO Rolf Habben Jansen is interested in more acquisitions within the container sector if the right opportunity arises, the chief executive says in an interview with ShippingWatch. But prices limit the pace.

Hapag-Lloyd has grown within the last year in accordance with the booming container market, and according to CEO Rolf Habben Jansen, the German carrier and sixth-largest container line in the world ought to continue the expansion.

This goes for the internal organic growth as well as takeovers of companies and carriers within the industry.
