Eimskip boosts its profit in second quarter

Icelandic carrier Eimskip has grown its bottom line in the second quarter, although exports out of the country were affected by the war in Ukraine and other factors. The shipping company takes a generally positive view of the third quarter and the rest of the year, CEO says.

Eimskip exits the second quarter and first half of the year with improved revenue and bottom line, even though geopolitical factors such as the war in Ukraine have put a damper on exports from Iceland, where the shipping company is based.
