More container ships transited the Panama Canal in 2022

The Panama Canal has seen growing activity throughout the recent fiscal year, with the number of container ships using the passage having increased by 8 percent. However, fewer box vessels sailed through the canal’s new sluices.

The crucial passageway between the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean, the Panama Canal, had more container ships sailing through during the fiscal year 2022, which runs from October to September.
