FMC receives wave of complaints over liner companies

US shippers have filed 175 complaints to US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) over carrier fees. The complaints are a direct result of a reform act making it easier for shippers to file complaints against carrier services.

The Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has received more than 175 complaints from shippers suspecting box carriers of using global freight congestion to discriminate against clients and overcharge.
