Maersk Line Limited, a subsidiary of Danish Maersk, must pay approximately USD 700,000 in damages to a former employee who was dismissed after complaining about safety to the US Coast Guard.

This has been determined by a ruling from the US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Maersk Line Limited disagrees with the decision and has chosen to file an appeal.
