Spot rates turn on key routes for box carriers

Carriers have been successful in increasing spot rates on the most important routes out of the Far East, according to Xeneta and others. The question is whether this will last into peak season.

After a long downturn from late summer last year and into the spring, spot rates have now begun to turn around for container shipping companies, analysis platform Xeneta writes in an update.
