Cosco prepares to pass cost of carbon quotas on to customers

The shipping company will add EUR 28 per container shipped to Europe from Oceania when new EU rules kick in next year.

Cosco has now quantified how much the container line’s customers will have to pay in CO2 tax on the route from Oceania to Europe from Jan. 1, 2024.
