Hapag-Lloyd expects rates to drop before the end of the year

Rolf Habben Jansen urges shippers to keep calm and avoid overbooking, as this only exacerbates capacity shortages, according to the CEO.

Container rates have reached corona levels and shipping companies’ capacity is stretched to the limit at the moment due to bottlenecks and high demand, but the situation is only temporary, says Rolf Habben Jansen, CEO of German container shipping company Hapag-Lloyd.
