SeaIntel: Two alliances to compete on ULCCs in 2015

The two major container alliances, 2M with Maersk Line and MSC, and Ocean Three (O3) with French CMA CGM, Arabic UASC and China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), will dominate a big part of the combined container traffic between the Far East and Europe, starting in 2015, and the two alliances will have the biggest ships by far - and thus lower unit costs, says SeaIntel in an analysis about the prospects for 2015.
