Shippers sharpen the tone regarding container alliances

The European shippers demand increased monitoring of container shipowners after the world's largest container alliance 2M between Maersk Line and MSC became a reality in the summer of 2014. Since then, collaborations have been popping up all over the industry, where 2M was followed by the container alliance Ocean Three between CMA CGM Group, UASC and CSCL, which has since then started a cooperation with Cosco.
