The Maersk Group made USD 5.2 billion profit in 2014

The Maersk Group achieved a combined 2014 net profit of USD 5.2 billion compared to a USD 3.8 billion profit in 2013.

The Maersk Group achieved a profit after taxes of USD 5.2 billion in 2014 compared to a net profit of USD 3.8 billion the year before, according to the Group's annual report, published Wednesday morning.

Proceeds from the Group's divestment of retailer Dansk Supermarked contributed significantly to the profit, at USD 2.8 billion.
