
With yet another dive last week, the freight rates for container shipping on the world's busiest trade route have now fallen so far that they are actually negative for the carriers, according to the analyst agency SeaIntel.
SeaIntel has calculated the rate level for Maersk Line and the other large container carriers on the significant trade between Asia and North Europe when adjusted for fuel prices.
