SeaIntel: Container rates drop below zero

It is the first time since June 2013 that the rates on the container routes from Asia to Europe have gone below zero when adjusted for fuel prices, writes SeaIntel.

With yet another dive last week, the freight rates for container shipping on the world's busiest trade route have now fallen so far that they are actually negative for the carriers, according to the analyst agency SeaIntel.
