Maersk Line second quarter profit USD 507 million

Maersk Group's container carrier achieved a net profit of USD 507 million in the second quarter compared to a profit of USD 547 million in the same period last year. The market growth has been low in the quarter and the competition is intensifying.

Maersk Line achieved a profit in the second quarter 2015 of USD 507 million compared to a profit in the same period last year of USD 547 million, according to Maersk Group's half-year interim report.

For the quarter in general, there has been a small growth of 1-2 percent compared to the same quarter last year. Maersk Line explains this referring to the development in Europe. At the same time, Maersk Line increases its ambition of "growing with the market" to now "at least grow with the market".
