Negotiations make Hapag-Lloyd postpone general assembly

Ongoing negotiations with competitor UASC have now made container carrier Hapag-Lloyd push back the company's annual general assembly.

German container carrier Hapag-Lloyd is planning a merger with competitor UASC, and this has now resulted in the postponement of Hapag-Lloyd annual general assembly.

"The previously publicized talks between Hapag-Lloyd AG (HL) and United Arab Shipping Company SAG (UASC) regarding a potential combination of their container shipping activities would in the case of a successful finalization of such talks require potentially amendments to the agenda," Hapag-Lloyd writes in a press release.
