
The decision of Hanjin Shipping, South Korea's largest container carrier, to file for court receivership has now prompted the country's second-largest container carrier, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), to form a new alliance, report several media including Korea Herald.
The alliance will be called Mini Alliance and, apart from Hyundai Merchant, will count Korea Marine Transport, Sinokor Merchant Marine and Heung-A Shipping, all of which are native to South Korea.
