Hyundai Merchant forms new Korean container alliance

To meet the major demand triggered by the collapse of Korean container carrier Hanjin, South Korea's second-largest carrier, Hyundai Merchant Marine, has formed the new Mini Alliance.

The decision of Hanjin Shipping, South Korea's largest container carrier, to file for court receivership has now prompted the country's second-largest container carrier, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), to form a new alliance, report several media including Korea Herald.
